Friends of Half Way Home

Would you like to help an Animal in Need?

We often get in animals that have been neglected, hurt or abandoned that need medical care.  Funds are not available to treat all of these animals.

This very poor cat was brought into the shelter with a rubber band tied around his "male" parts.  They were extremely swollen.  A very delicate surgery had to be performed to remove the rubber band and the cat is now recovering and has been named Twisty.

Libby the cat came to us when a boxer found her and started tossing her around like a ball.  She is nothing but skin and bones and may have ended up with some internal injuries from the shaking.    Finally, there is precious little Pee-Wee who had to have hip surgery.  His owners gave him up.  Very young, sweet little boy. All of these animals have come to us in February and could use your help in getting them well and eventually adopting them.
